What a joy it was last Sunday for a number of us to worship in person at all three locations! It reminded me of the reason why in Greek the church is called Ekklesia, meaning Gathering. We are meant to gather as a community in worship!
This morning we were caught by surprise with the new regulations from Hanoi People’s Committee about implementing the Central Government’s plans for the “new normal.” Although we are excited that some schools in the outer districts can have some classes attend in person some of the time, we were surprised that religious activities are limited to 20 people fully vaccinated! As last week’s information had been confirmed verbally, this new written regulation overwrites all previous decisions. [Update: Ecopark also restricted meetings to 10 people maximum.]
Therefore, we will only live stream our 9am Sunday Service with 20 people present (only our staff and volunteers). This way we at least continue to have a live service, while praying that numbers may increase over time. The live stream can be watched on our YouTube channel and Facebook page or at www.hif.vn/online at any time from 9am onwards. [Update: Ecopark will be on Zoom at 10am.]
Note: We will celebrate communion this Sunday, so please do prepare the communion elements.
Our apologies for the confusion, please bear with us and pray for us. We will keep you posted via email if anything changes.
