Whether you are new to Hanoi and to HIF, or whether you have been here for some time, we want to help you thrive as expatriates in an unfamiliar culture and city. There are many unique cultural challenges involved in cross-cultural living–we begin to feel alone, isolated and disconnected from others. We yearn for friendship and familiar faces we had back in our home countries. Thankfully, God has given us the body of Christ to support one another during our season in Hanoi.
ConnectGroups are small groups designed to help you stay in fellowship with Christ and other believers during the week. Joining a ConnectGroup is a great way to get plugged into a vibrant discipleship community.
Discipleship is a process of ever-deepening intimacy with God in Christ, through God’s Word, prayer, doctrine, worship, encouragement, and service, as well as developing relationships with other believers, encouraging each other to live with Christ-like intentions and characteristics in our daily lives.
Every group is different! For example, some groups may discuss the Sunday sermon, others may use a video study from Right Now Media. Check the website for a location that works best and contact the leader for more information. If you are interested in starting a group, please email Pastor Jacob. We are always praying for new hosts and leaders!
