We are excited that Hanoi was declared “green” (Level 1) at the end of last week! This meant that many additional activities could enter the “new normal.” According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, this includes religious activities, which at Level 1 need to practice 5K and scan QR codes.
Therefore, get ready for in-person worship this Sunday! All three locations will resume in-person worship services starting on Sunday, 31 October, at the following times:
MyDinh: 9am service with fellowship and prayer time afterwards (NO 11am service!)
Westlake: 10am service with fellowship afterwards (team preparations on Saturday 30/10 at 2pm)
Ecopark: 10am service with fellowship afterwards
For the time being, there will be no KidzQuest at Westlake and MyDinh as we need to restart the KidzQuest programs and recruit additional volunteers. We will continue creating worksheets for the children (and young-at-heart) that will be available for download and at the entrance. Do bring your coloring pencils!
Please scan the QR codes at the entrance of each facility using the PC-Covid or SSKDT apps. The easiest is if you make your health declaration in advance to speed up the process. Please comply with the 5K regulations, which are as follows:
- Khau Trang – wear face mask
- Khu Khuan – use disinfectant
- Khong Tu Tap – no crowding
- Khoang Cach – keep distance
- Khai Bao Y Te – make health declaration
As we expect to be lower in number due to the expat exodus, some now having to work on Sundays, and others not quite ready to meet in person, we will have extra seating. Please keep a seat free between you/your family and others.
We also are low on volunteers! Now is the time to step up and serve! Please consider joining the Welcome, Worship or KidzQuest teams. You can register here to serve: Serve – Hanoi International Fellowship (www.hif.vn/serve)
For those continuing worship online: We understand not everyone is ready, or some needing to work, or others not living in Hanoi and following HIF online. We’re so glad you’re worshipping with us! As the online services over the past 6 months have been produced by our media team (and Zoom at Ecopark), do expect a drop in quality as we switch to live streaming from each location. Once you are ready and able, we welcome you to join us in person!
On behalf of the HIF Elders and Staff, we look forward to worshipping in person once again this Sunday!
Blessings,
Pastor Jacob
