The disciples were stuck in the middle of the lake, but at least they were in the same boat—again. Only this time, Jesus wasn’t with them. Who is He really? Why was He with them last time, but not now? All kinds of rumors were spreading—some were skeptical, others superstitious, while many just wanted more miracles. But even Jesus’ closest followers, the ones who had seen everything, were often the most clueless.

How often are we in the same boat? We believe in Jesus, or at least things about Him, but when life’s challenges hit—or when we witness things that seem too unbelievable—who do we say He really is? A man? A prophet reborn? Or something more?
