The Christian community was represented at the state funeral for the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee. Pastors and leaders from local churches in Hanoi attended the first day of the two-day event. HIF was represented by Peter de Fretes (Elder), Emily Ngoan (City Partners Coordinator), and Marian Tabjan (HIF Administrator).

The state funeral, which began on Thursday, July 25, honored General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong for his nearly 60 years of significant and outstanding contributions to the Party and the nation. The Christian community in Hanoi extends their condolences to his family.
