This week in our Summer Series By Faith, Ryan Robinson shares with us about Abraham, and the faith he had in God’s word. The sermon text is Hebrews 11:8, with general reference to Genesis.

Ryan has a heart for discipling and mentorship with focuses on the Aftershock youth program and the Alpha program. Ryan studied Biblical and Theological Studies at Biola University in California and is currently enrolled in the last class or his master’s program in Practical Theology: Church Ministry from Regent University in Virginia. Ryan loves sports, competition, traveling, and being with his family. We hope to see you at Detech Tower in My Dinh this Sunday!
In this sermon series, we are journeying together through Hebrews 11, the chapter of the Bible that is most well-known for heroes of the faith. Each week we explore a different hero of the faith, so we all can be encouraged to grow in our faith and press on toward maturity in Christ. As we explore in-depth these heroes of faith, we will have a clearer picture of what living faith looks like and what it produces in our lives as disciples.

Big God: What Happens When We Trust Him by Britt Merrick. Based on Hebrews 11. (Amazon) Faith Path, by Mark Mittleberg. The eight-lesson Faith Path series, based on Mark Mittelberg’s book Choosing Your Faith, builds on the author’s sensible, even-handed approach to evangelism (Access course through Right Now Media). Forensic Faith, by J. Warner Wallace. These short lessons show the importance of “testing” the truths of Christianity, asking why people say they’re Christians, and understanding the difference between experience and evidence when explaining what we base our belief on (Access course through Right Now Media).
