COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT & EXTERNAL RELATIONS DIRECTOR
Emily Ngoan first walked through the doors of Hanoi International Fellowship in 2014, and it was here that she came to faith and was baptized. What began as a personal journey with God has since grown into over a decade of faithful service, both in the corporate world and in full-time ministry.
Drawing on more than ten years of experience in human resources and corporate operations, Emily serves as HIF’s Community Engagement & External Relations Director. She leads CityPartners and oversees outreach ministries including Alpha, Spotlight, Sports Fellowship, and Global Partners, with a heart for mobilizing volunteers, building strategic partnerships, and connecting the church with the wider community. She also works closely with the Lead Pastor to nurture relationships with the Vietnamese government, diplomatic agencies, local churches, and partner organizations, all in service of the city and the Gospel.
Emily holds a Master of Arts in Transformational Leadership and has completed a range of biblical and ministry training programs, including courses from Hanoi International Bible School and the Business Discipleship Training Course with Youth With A Mission. She is a Certified Trainer with Dynamic Church Planting International, and serves as a Core Team Member of both the Peace Building ministry and the Love Hanoi network. Her ministry journey has taken her across the Middle East, Central Asia, and Southeast Asia, where cross-cultural missionary work has deepened her passion for international communities and sustainable church planting movements.
Outside of ministry, Emily is endlessly curious about the world around her. She loves exploring different cultures, creating content that introduces Vietnamese culture and cuisine to those new to it, and developing resources for language learning and cross-cultural communication. Beyond English, she has a particular love for Chinese and Italian.
One principle continues to shape everything she does: “Fruitfulness flows from intimacy with God, not just effort.”
