As we join together in prayer and fasting in Jesus Name, may we enter this season with thanksgiving and eagerly wait on the Lord as we present our prayers to Him.
Our prayer and fasting this year is focused on HIF, our church where we are all part of. From February 14, the first day, we will start our journey by dedicating ourselves to the Lord and consecrating our relationship with him. We have many of our brothers and sisters, shared their prayer for their spheres of concern and ministry. It is our hope that as we pray with them in this journey, we will experience what the Lord is doing and receive insights and revelations of how we can glorify his Name.
Our prayer and fasting will run all days of the week except Sundays. This means we will break our fast on Sundays. You are however free to continue on with your fast as you are led. We will end this season of prayer and fasting on the 30th of March where our focus will be on our future facility. It is not to say that our prayer for our future facility is confined only to this day, but that the 40th day expresses that we are looking forward to what is ahead of us and expressing our hope and confidence through prayer and fasting that the Lord is doing a great thing in fulfillment of the vision “Freedom to Grow”.
Below is the schedule for each day and the prayer points.

Show me the idols of my heart and increase in me the desire to see your kingdom come, your will be done in all things. I want to seek you first and love you more and honor your name in my life. Thank you Lord for the biblical example of the church at Antioch, which had such a diverse leadership and established international congregations throughout the known world during the first century. As you ministered to, with, and through the global diaspora then, so You are also at work today. May HIF become more and more like the Antioch church, launching people out to new destinations around the world, and to establish new congregations in our own region.
We pray for the Missional International Church Network, of which we are a founding member, that we encourage one another across the continents. Bless the leadership of this network as they seek to start and strengthen international churches. Encourage the pastors of the churches around the globe who like HIF seek to make Jesus known among the nations. We thank you for the continuing interest of our connect group leaders in hosting and lead. Bless them in their preparation week after week. We pray that they will remain to be inspired as your Holy Spirit move in our midst and they witness answers to prayers, decisions made by members to obey as a result of hearing your word during times of sharing and studying of the word, and hearing testimonies of blessings being shared by every member. All these we see as evidence of your active involvement in our lives and that truly you are God with us.
As we continue to fast and pray, with this focus in mind today, may we be reminded that we belong to you and that you want us to know you more. Thank you for receiving your truths through our Connect Groups.

Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us, and establish the work of our hands upon us; yes, establish the work of our hands!

We ask that You fill the hearts of each member with joy and gratitude as we serve You. May we lead the congregation into Your presence with joyful worship and uplifting media presentations.

Hebrews 10:25
Lord, we pray that every member of our African Fellowship will continue to have an encounter with You through Praise, Worship & Prayer whenever we gather together. We thank you for the opportunity that this year our leaders have deeply connected with our members on a more personal level. This enabled us to understand their pressing needs and so we know how we can support them through prayer and finance. Our members have been in difficult circumstances, and it is an ongoing challenge until this time.
As we go through this prayer and fasting season, we ask that You open doors of connections and that our brothers and sisters in need will receive favor whether be it job opportunities, support for work permit, visa or TRC. Help all of us to persevere and remind us to always encourage one another even during these times of trial, in Jesus Name.

HIF YOUNG FAMILIES
He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.
Isaiah 40:11
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
Ephesians 4:2-3
Thank you, Jesus, that you love each one of our children. We entrust them to your faithful loving care. May you shepherd them as they grow, and would you grant us your wisdom and love as we teach and guide them to know you more. Thank you for also saying that you would lead gently those who have little ones. Forgive us when we fall short in our parenting. We receive your forgiveness and allow you to shepherd us first - so that we can reflect on you as their good Shepherd. You who are humble and gentle at heart and lead by example. Help us to be the first to ask for forgiveness, choose to prefer the other and serve one another in love. May your Spirit keep us united through the bond of peace.

TUESDAY | DAY 36 | Mar. 26
SERVING AT HIF ECOPARK
Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers and sisters dwell in unity! It is like the precious oil on the head, running down on the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down on the collar of his robes! It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion! For there the Lord has commanded the blessing, life forevermore.
Psalm 133:1-3 ESV
Heavenly Father, as I embark on this journey of fasting, I seek to deepen my communion with You, inspired by the unity and harmony depicted in Psalm 133. In this time of quiet and self-denial, I invite Your Holy Spirit to work within me, cleansing and sanctifying my spirit. Let this fast be a vessel for Your presence, guiding my thoughts and actions, and rejuvenating my soul as the dew of Hermon refreshes the earth.
During this period of fasting, Father, grant me strength in moments of physical weakness and a heart overflowing with Your love. Help me to reflect Your compassion and patience in my interactions, carrying the spirit of unity into every aspect of my life. May this personal journey bring me closer to Your will, aligning my heart and mind with Your divine purposes, and spreading the love and peace of Christ in all that I do. Amen.
Peter De Fretes, HIF Elder at Ecopark
WEDNESDAY | DAY 37 | Mar. 27
SPIRITUAL GIFTS AT HIF
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
Romans 12:6-8
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit; to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of Spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. But one and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually as He wills.
1 Corinthians 12:7-11
Lord Jesus, baptize me afresh and anew in Your Holy Spirit. I so desperately need You today. You have saved me and redeemed me by Your precious blood. I am a child of God. Now You reside in me through Your Holy Spirit. My life is in You! Establish Your Kingdom in me!
"Be continually empowered in the Lord" - Ephesians 6:10, GNT. Yes, Lord Jesus, empower me. I lift up my hands to You and I humbly receive. Let your gifts flow through my life to minster to others. Is there a gift that You want to manifest through me? Show me, Holy Spirit. Reveal it to me. I believe. I ask. Receive.
I am Your servant. I want to be Your channel, Your instrument of grace to the Body of Christ and to this needy world. Grant me boldness to believe Your Word, Your eternal Word, that it is today as Your marvelous gifts were for the 1st century believers. I thank You and praise You, Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit!
James Bankowski, Congregational Prayer Leader
THURSDAY | DAY 38 | Mar. 28
TEACHERS & MENTORS IN HIF
Teach them his decrees and instructions, and show them the way they are to live and how they are to behave.
Exodus 18:20
Happy are those who keep His decrees and seek Him with all their heart.
Psalm 119:2
Almighty Father in heaven, how marvelous are your instructions: they are my delight (143), my hope (81), and a light to my path (105). Moses had the responsibility to guide his people, the Israelites, showing them how they were to live and behave. Many of us are teachers, mentors, and leaders. Like Moses, we have the privilege of speaking into the lives of those who count on our guidance. Father, may I take my responsibility seriously, finding wisdom in Your Word in order to touch, impact and transform the lives of students, mentees, and others in my sphere of influence.
May Your decrees ever be on my lips and expressed through my actions in ways that demonstrate Your profound and steadfast love (124) so that people who encounter the Spirit of the living Christ in me, would be indelibly changed. Lord, lead me so that I never lose an opportunity to speak Christ's words of life into the lives of those who look to me for direction. Amen.
(Note: all references are from Psalm 119).
Mic Ngo, Congregational Prayer Leader
FRIDAY | DAY 39| Mar. 29
HIF FINANCES
"And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."
Philippians 4:19
"And God will generously provide all you need. The you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others."
2 Corinthians 9:8
Oh Lord, we thank you for supplying all these past years everything HIF needed, and HIF was able to share with others. We acknowledge that you are the source of abundance in every season of life. Just as you provide for the sparrows, we trust that you will provide for our church's needs. In times of plenty and scarcity, we hold onto your promises of provision. Empower us to give joyfully and generously, knowing that you delight in cheerful givers. Release any attachments to material possessions that hold us back from contributing with an open heart.
May this period of prayer and fasting help me to strengthen our commitment to supporting our church financially, so that together, we may make a lasting impact on your kingdom and touch lives beyond our walls. We thank you for your unwavering faithfulness. Amen.
JV Sundersingh, HIF Elder-Finance
SATURDAY | DAY 40| Mar. 30
FUTURE FACILTY PROJECT
But the Lord replied to Moses, "Now you will see what I will do..."
Exodus 6:1
Father God, we are thankful for the many homes HIF has had over the past 29 years. From a humble living room to an office cafeteria, from small hotel function rooms to large 5-star ballrooms, from the 17th floor of Detech to online broadcasts during the pandemic, You have been faithful to provide the home and the freedom to worship You.
We look to You, Lord, for Your guidance and direction to lead us once again to a new home. Not for our comfort and enjoyment, but to make You known among the nations in Hanoi and beyond. Not for our comfort and enjoyment, a hub for the churches, and a launching pad to serve the provinces and the world. May the whole project be a miraculous move by Your mighty hand so that all glory goes to You. We commit ourselves and this vision to You, because only You can do bring this to completion. We pray these things in Jesus' name, amen!
