Share the warmth blanket & clothing drive

During the Christmas season you will be able to “share the warmth” with those in need by sponsoring blankets and jackets and/or donating clothing. Recently, HIFers partnered with local churches on an outreach trip to Ha Giang province at the Chinese border. Even now it is already cold up there and many stilt houses have no insulation for the cold weather. The team distributed blankets to local families, who use one big blanket for the whole family to keep warm and sleep together. During the winter season, there will be other opportunities for HIF to join local churches on similar outreach trips. Will you share the warmth?

Sponsor a blanket/jacket

When you sponsor a blanket for $15, a jacket for $25, or a family package (blanket, jacket, food items) for $50, you will receive a bronze, silver or gold Christmas ornament as a token of appreciation. When you hang it in your Christmas tree, it will be a reminder that you shared your warmth this winter season with someone in need.

Donating clothing

This year we are partnering with Papa Shop, a thrift store that sells second hand clothing, accessories and home decors. The shop is run by PureVN — an NGO that is supporting the disadvantaged youth in Vietnam. Papa Shop operates on the basis of volunteering and donations from the community. Clothes will either be sold to support the Transitional House for youth coming out of orphanages, or will be sent with the teams to give away in the northern mountain areas. On the most recent trip, Papa Shop contributed several boxes of clothing.
